Air leak is where pocket-size bubbles exits, right ? If wanting a fast repair that holds for some fourth dimension, apply a drop of cracy glue next to seam, cloth must be completely dry and gluing surface area well make clean.

If wanting a total repair, must open seam fabric side, remove quondam glue, clean and glue back. If that sib has welded seams you can re glue dorsum with proper 2 part pvc gum. Follow standard gluing procedures and correct room temperature.

Video was awesome!

If information technology were me, since it is such a small leak, I would probably merely deflate the boat and try an external patch letting information technology dry for a couple of days before putting it back into use. I wouldn't let whatever super glue get near the expanse that needs to be patched, as it could cause an adhesion problem with the proper two part PVC glue.

Why would yous need to place a patch on elevation of a cracy glued area, information technology'southward as simple as choosing i method or the other...

Tiny buddles are exiting at side of seam, placing cracy glue drop and extending it properly will be enough to seal that air leak. Sealing with standard glue than comes as repair kit is no good, poor adhesion, meliorate become 2 part pvc glue, prep small quantity in small can and brush iii layers of glue evenly with small painting brush as seen in video.

I wouldn't put crazy glue on at all, as it shouldn't be considered a permanent set up. Repair it right the first fourth dimension, giving it maximum adhesion where it needs it, at the point of the leak. Of course that would be washed using a 2 part glue and a PVC patch

And so you are suggesting not even using a patch?

Just because someone made a video on youtube, doesn't mean they accept a clue what they are doing. Many videos are down right laughable.

These guys do know what they are doing though!

If wanting a permanent ready you must open seam and glue with 2 role pvc gum, if y'all don't know how to do it well volition need to ship sib to a repair shop, the fastest and easiest would exist to use at to the lowest degree 3 brushes 2 part pvc mucilage around bubbles area. Let dry well each coat between brushing.

The video shown are apartment and like shooting fish in a barrel fix examples anyone could do. Had a thick needle hole on my rib tube, squirted air that yous could hear and feel with finger, as didn't wanted a visual round patch on tube for such a pocket-sized leak, defleted the tube and placed a small carcy glue driblet, let dried till adjacent day, that was seven months back and still property perfectly and boating near daily.

In case you would like to go for a patch effectually seam, will need a less thick pvc fabric to contour and gum well against patch and tube material next to seam, remenber you're non gluing a flat surface which is a piece of cake to prepare.

Happy Canoeing
